The Corrs illuminated the iconic ICC Sydney during their 2025 Australian tour, captivating the audience with a near-capacity show filled with classic hits. Watching these impeccable musicians is a pure delight. It’s not just the timbre and quality of their sound; it’s the dedication and enjoyment they exude on stage that truly engages the senses and leaves you breathless.
If you haven’t yet experienced this band live, you definitely should. Don’t miss the chance to see one of their shows.
The excitement began to build. Having already enjoyed incredible performances from Bachelor Girl and Gabriella Cilmi, the crowd eagerly awaited the main event to start.
As the lights dimmed, the air buzzed with anticipation. The crowd pounced a collective cheer of excitement, and it was clear that everyone felt the same electricity. The Irish siblings—Andrea (lead vocals, tin whistle), Sharon (violin, vocals), Caroline (drums, percussion, bodhrán, vocals), and Jim Corr (guitar, piano, keyboard, vocals)—took to the stage with dramatic flair, kicking things off with their iconic hit, “Only When I Sleep.”
With the spotlight now on Caroline, the lights exploded in pulsating bursts as the crowd roared, their cheers echoing through the venue. Andrea took center stage with a hop and a skip, spinning with a glowing, infectious smile. The immense talent and dynamic chemistry of the Corr siblings set the tone for an unforgettable night ahead.
The band powered through a string of fan favorites like “Give Me a Reason,” “Lough Erin Shore,” “Forgiven Not Forgotten,” and “What Can I Do,” each song earning an enthusiastic response from the crowd. The energy effortlessly transitioned between upbeat anthems and softer, captivating moments, the sound crisp and vibrating through the crowd.
Totally immersed in this infectious atmosphere, it felt like a warm summer day, with melodies gently rising and falling, as if transporting the audience on an Irish adventure filled with warmth, smiles, banter, and stories. Andrea shared a funny memory about the siblings’ near move to Australia when they were younger, before shifting the focus to Jim.
As the night progressed, the pace picked up. The band launched into “White Light,” paired with a stunning light show. Long white beams flickered in time with the music, shimmering through the audience and adding to the hypnotic depth of the performance. The lights dimmed briefly before another musical experience took over.
The soft piano intro to “Closer” had Andrea’s vocals hanging in the air as the crowd became silent, hanging on every note. The violin’s sound and the mesmerising guitar solo created a spellbinding atmosphere, building to a climactic finish. The audience clapped along to the beat of the final songs, including “Don’t Say You Love Me,” mixed with Andrea and Sharon’s effortless harmonies.
Andrea thanked the audience for their energy and support. The excitement in the room was palpable, and Jim, joking about the hot temperatures onstage, took a moment to change his shirt, much to the crowd’s delight. The band then returned to perform “Little Wing,” with its soft acoustic guitar, violin, and flute opening, creating a dreamy, ethereal vibe. Andrea’s vocals filled the room, transporting the audience to another place.
The set also included powerful tracks like “Joy of Life” and “Ellis Island,” with Jim on piano and Caroline on percussion. The audience clapped along enthusiastically, feeding off the band’s infectious energy. Other standout moments included the ever-popular “Lagan Love” and the electric “Queen of Hollywood,” during which the band’s vocals shone, especially the harmonies in the chorus.
As the night went on, the crowd became more engaged. During “Dreams,” the audience self-appointed themselves by singing along effortlessly, with Andrea guiding them through the Fleetwood Mac classic. The crowd took over during “I Never Loved You Anyway,” with many fans getting up and dancing, while a sweet violin solo added to the song’s magic.
Then came “So Young,” where Jim encouraged Sydney to raise their hands and sing along. The audience eagerly obliged, filling the room with energy. After a huge round of applause, the band left the stage, only to return for an encore. Andrea thanked the crowd again, acknowledging the bad weather outside, but the fans’ enthusiasm could not be dampened.
The fans took over once more during “Runaway,” singing the words loudly well into the second chorus, where Andrea finally joined in. It was a heartwarming moment as the crowd’s passion filled the room, and the band’s performance reached a beautiful peak. As the lights dimmed just enough to enter the final song for the evening, Andrea thanked Sydney once again.
The show ended with “Breathless,” the audience dancing and clapping along as Andrea twirled, as the band brought the night to a jubilant close.
“Thank you, Sydney. Goodnight.”
