Acclaimed folk/rock/Americana duo Minor Gold have today released their highly anticipated second album, Way to the Sun — a compelling follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2023 self-titled debut.

Led by award-winning vocalists and guitarists Dan Parsons (AUS) and Tracy McNeil (CAN), Minor Gold blend sixth-sense harmonies with sun-dappled folk-rock, delivering heartfelt songs, free-spirited rhythms, and an unmistakable musical chemistry. Their sound effortlessly transports listeners down desert highways and through coastal canyons — rooted in timeless storytelling and rich vocal interplay.

In early 2024, the duo briefly stepped off the road to record Way to the Sun in Glendale, California, working with noted producer Dan Horne (Mapache, Cass McCombs). The title track, released in early 2025, has since earned high rotation on national Australian radio and surpassed 500,000 streams, with placements on major Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists. In recent weeks, the album has continued its upward momentum — claiming the #1 Added spot at Americana Radio USA, and drawing glowing reviews from respected outlets including UNCUT (UK), Shindig (UK), and Rhythms Magazine (AU). Singles Moonlight Silver Highway(ABC Country) and Hair Hang Down(Double J) have also landed in high rotation

Way to the Sun is out now on CD/VINYL via Bandcamp, and on all streaming platforms via MGM Distribution.

Minor Gold have spent the past seven months touring extensively across North America, bringing their dynamic live show to international audiences. Now, with Way to the Sun out in the world, the duo are set to return home to launch the album around Australia in the coming months, including festival performances at Waverock Weekender (WA), Dashville Skyline Festival (Hunter Valley NSW), Groundwater Country Music Festival (QLD), Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival (NSW) & Queenscliff Music Festival (VIC).  Don’t miss them on their homecoming tour
