Pete Murray to Play at Fremantle Prison

For the first time in his outstanding 25-year career, Pete Murray will be performing his two most iconic albums ‘Feeler’ and ‘See the Sun’ in-full, back-to-back, celebrating 25 years in music.  This very special evening will be proudly presented by Face To Face Touring at the historic Fremantle Prison.

To add to this special occasion Pete Murray will be joined by one of Australia’s most loved live acts Piece Brothers and a very special set from Pete’s own incredibly talented son, Charlie Murray.

With four consecutive No. 1 albums, 17 x ARIA Award nominations, and selling over 1.2 million albums, Pete Murray is an undeniable musical icon whose heartfelt songs including ‘Better Days’, ‘Opportunity’ and ‘So Beautiful’ have left a legacy on the Australian psyche.

Melbourne folk rockers Jack and Pat Pierce, better known as Pierce Brothers, have been carving out their own path in the indie-folk scene for years. What started as busking sessions on Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne has grown into a massive international career, with the two now known for their incredible live shows and affecting songwriting.

From those early street performances where they shared the pavement with the likes of Tash Sultana and Tones and I, the duo built a loyal following the old-fashioned way: gig by gig, tour by tour. Along the way, they’ve played sold-out shows around Australia and the world, hit major festivals across Australia, Europe, South Africa, and North America; as well as supporting some huge names including James Blunt, Ben Harper, Zac Brown Band, and St. Paul and the Broken Bones to name a few.  With back-to-back #1 AUS ARIA albums Everything Is Bigger Than Me (2024) and Moonrise (2025), and over 50 million streams to date, the past few years have been huge.

They dropped a string of new releases, jumped on stage with artists they grew up listening to, and even popped up on Playschool for a surprise 2023 guest spot. After wrapping up a sold-out run of shows around Europe and the UK in 2026, the brothers are back on home turf selling shows out across Australia with plans already set in place for Canada, Singapore and Europe again into 2027.   Pierce Brothers haven’t taken their foot off the gas for years, and there’s no sign of slowing down!

Charlie Murray is part of a new generation of artists redefining what modern singer-songwriter music can be. Possessing a musical maturity far beyond his years, he creates songs that are both sophisticated and deeply emotive, blending exceptional musicianship with an instinctive gift for melody.

Drawing on influences from jazz, soul, folk, and contemporary pop, Charlie’s music feels both timeless and unmistakably current. His songs are built around rich harmonic textures and thoughtful arrangements, allowing each composition to unfold with a depth rarely found in emerging artists. Paired with a soulful, captivating voice, his music commands attention from the very first listen.

While echoes of artists such as Tom Misch, John Mayer, and Dominic Fike can be heard in his work, Charlie’s sound is uniquely his own. There is also a timeless quality to his songwriting that recalls the artistry and emotional depth of Jeff Buckley and Nick Drake—artists whose music continues to resonate across generations.

What sets Charlie Murray apart is not only his talent, but his authenticity. A gifted guitarist with a musicality far beyond his years, he combines exceptional musicianship with honest, heartfelt songwriting. In an era dominated by fleeting trends, s creating music with substance, character, and longevity. These are songs that connect on a deeper level and leave a lasting impression long after the final note has faded.

Charlie Murray is not simply an artist to watch; he is an artist with the potential to make a genuine and enduring impact.

This show is a once in a lifetime opportunity not to be missed.   Watch this space…
