 ARIA Australian Artist Albums Chart

Sydney’s Night At The Barracks | October 7 | LIMITED TICKETS

One of the most celebrated artists of our time, Tina Arena, has debuted at #1 on the ARIA Australian Artist Albums chart with ‘Love Saves’, her first album to be released independently and her first release in almost eight years.

‘Love Saves’ is Tina’s ninth Top 10 album.

Tina said, “A heartfelt thank you to everyone for embracing my new Album Love Saves and making it number 1 on the Oz chart.

This result represents so much more than a number to me. Love Saves is my first independent album release since deciding to part ways with my record label some years ago.

It was a monumental decision not without risk. I took a leap of faith, I’ve had full creative control from start to finish. This album is me. Heart and soul. It’s personal. So the way the public and industry alike have supported my new music brings me to tears. It means more to me than any other commercial success of my career.

Love Saves has saved me. It has given me the resolve to keep making music after almost 50 years in the business. To continue to stand up for my artistic community. To inspire other Australian artists to believe in themselves, to have the courage to chart their own path if the more traditional avenues aren’t working for them. There is another way, and there is so much to be gained just outside your comfort zone.

I am so proud to be an Australian artist. I implore our industry to continue to advocate and promote our fellow Australian artists. We are tremendously talented country, we hold our own with the world’s best. In fact, our Australian artists are world class. So let’s stand proud. Promote our own industry. Support our own artists. For we as a nation,  have such gifts to share and the world needs to hear our uniquely beautiful Aussie perspective.”

‘Love Saves’ reached #2 on the ARIA Albums chart behind Taylor Swift’s chart topping album.

Turning to music for solace in the past few years, the lyrics on ‘Love Saves’ are deeply personal and express an honesty and transparency that represent an unforgettable period of Tina’s life.

The album leads the way for the ‘Love Saves World Tour’ that begins in Sydney on October 7 with only limited tickets remaining for the Night At The Barracks show.

Tickets for the Melbourne Town Hall show on October 20 are sold out, with a second show on sale on October 19.

Tina and her seven-piece band will perform a mix of songs from the ‘Love Saves’ album, alongside some of her biggest hits at unique venues she’s never played before.

One of Australia’s highest selling artists of all time, selling more than 10 million albums worldwide, Tina Arena AM continues to transcend musical boundaries after more than 40 years in the music industry.
