SAN CISCO ANNOUNCE NATIONAL ALBUM TOUR FOR OCTOBER – NOVEMBER 2024
PRESENTED BY UNTITLED GROUP & TRIPLE J

+ JOINED BY SPECIAL GUESTS HAIKU HANDS AND TOUCH SENSITIVE (DJ SET)

++ REGIONAL TOUR KICKS OFF THIS WEEK PLAYING SHOWS ACROSS  QLD, NSW, VIC, ACT + TAS

Following on two huge regional tours across the country, and a run of shows across the UK and Europe (including a sold-out headline show in London), today indie pop royalty San Cisco have announced a national album tour taking place across October – November of this year in support of their fifth studio album, Under The Light, presented by Untitled Group and triple j

Starting in Adelaide, the captivating live show will then head to Melbourne, Busselton, Fremantle and Brisbane before finishing up in Sydney. Joining them on their run of shows across the country are two very exciting special guests – electro-pop trio Haiku Hands and Australian vibe-maker Touch Sensitive (DJ set).

Like tears on New Year’s Eve catching the glitter of fireworks at midnight, San Cisco’s fifth LP, Under the Light, strikes the delicate balance between euphoria and melancholy that elevates the best pop music from a good time to something more like a cherished friend. A collaboration between the band and producer James Ireland (Cuco, Pond) as well as contributions from Jay Watson (Gum, Pond, Tame Impala), Nicholas Allbrook & Neal H. Pogue (Outkast, Tyler The Creator) Under The Light sees the trio enter a new phase of maturity, vulnerability and experimentation both musically and lyrically – a record the band are proud to say “truly embodies the genuine essence of San Cisco”. Featuring singles ‘Lost Without You’, ‘Horoscope’, ‘Honeycomb’, ‘High, ‘Summer Days’ and album title track ‘Under The Light’, the Fremantle three-piece have entered decidedly more heady territory, both musically and lyrically, introducing elements such as string sections, electronic, garage and house music. Under The Light, the fifth studio album from San Cisco is out now everywhere.

Garnering millions of streams and critical acclaim through the release of four studio albums, San Cisco have toured the world selling out headline shows and appearing at festivals such as Splendour In The Grass, Lollapalooza, Reading & Leeds and many more. Renowned for their high-energy live show, in 2023 San Cisco have taken the stage at Bass In The Grass (NT), Dream Machine (Bali), Be Social Fest (QLD), Melbourne’s Formula 1 Grand Prix (VIC) and the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix, as well as headlining the FIFA Fan Festival in Adelaide (SA). About Touch Sensitive
Touch Sensitive is the ultimate triple-threat; as a producer, in-demand live performer and DJ, he’s a treasured slashie for artists and audiences alike. Whether it’s remixing Rufus, collaborating with Flume or touring internationally with Flight Facilities, he’s become renowned as the man with an ear for hooks and impeccable taste.

Australian vibe-maker, Michael Di Francesco under his moniker Touch Sensitive, returned to the electronic music’s holy circle in early 2017 with the release of bass-driven single ‘Lay Down’, his first official release since 2013’s cult hit, ‘Pizza Guy.’ The track topped the Hype Machine charts and permeated music sites globally with a now signature palette of syncopated synthesisers and immediate hooks with over 20 million impressions globally. The song was followed by the release of his debut full-length album ‘Visions’ a soaring pastiche of slow disco, new-jack swing and undoubtedly retro productions from the Pizza Guy himself.

On the stage, Touch Sensitive has become a festival favourite, having appeared at Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival, The Plot, Laneway, Soundscape, Lost Paradise, Mountain Sounds, Perth’s CIRCO, Holy Ship, Splash House and more. His latest summer party jam, ‘G.A.L ft. Daniel Wilson’ saw Touch Sensitive bring in the new year at Falls Festival in 2019.

About Haiku Hands
Haiku Hands are the Australian collective of Claire and Mie Nakazawa, and Beatrice Lewis—and their new album Pleasure Beast is the electro-pop-rap manifesto this side of Gorillaz, Dr. Dre, and The Presets that the world needs. Following the breakout success with “Not About You” and the NME-approved and AIR Award-nominated self-titled debut (British Vogue praised their sound and chaotic live show as part Scissor Sisters, Azealia Banks, Björk, and Warhol), Pleasure Beast is a more dynamic and assertive artistic statement that more embraces the sonic and visual edges of The Knife and the punk ethos of Le Tigre. Pleasure Beast is a grab-bag of sonic textures and lyrical bite fighting against capitalist vampires and numbing algorithmic vibes, desiring a decent society and sexy bread, and dancing the night away under a glowstick sun. It’s the call for the simple creatures with simple desires inside us all to rally against a world that wants to separate and divide us all. It’s the sweaty and harmonious festival dancefloor as a public service and political act. Listen to Haiku Hands, and dare to be human.
