Ascendent Messages – new music for guitar and percussion: Saturday 8th of Feb at UWA

Ascendent Messages is an immersive concert featuring new works for classical guitar, percussion, and electronics.

Join acclaimed musicians Paul Tanner and Jonathan Fitzgerald as they present the world premiere performance of four new commissions by award-winning Australian composers Maria Grenfell, Alice Humphries, Kate Milligan, and Kathy Potter.

Each work showcases the distinct voice of its composer, creating an engaging and diverse program that ranges from the tuneful to the experimental, which will resonate with both seasoned listeners and newcomers alike.

Set in the beautiful acoustic of Callaway Auditorium at the University of Western Australia on the 8th of February, this concert offers a wonderful opportunity to experience contemporary classical music in a welcoming atmosphere.
