Bailey Perrie Releases Latest Single – Unpaid Therapist

Review by Sheldon Ang

Unpaid Therapist is the latest track by Bailey Perrie and the lead single of her forthcoming album, slated for release in May.

The teenager reflects, “Unpaid Therapist is for anyone who has ever asked if you’re okay. The song’s message is universally drenched; an emotional anthem for anyone living through a challenging time or in need of a pick-me-up. I hope it will carry listeners on a journey of reflection, hope, and optimism.”

Kicking off with the neck jerking beat and a flourish of disarrayed personification, the track packs a gentle punch before progressing into the alleviating lyrics and upbeat progression that enlighten the dark shadows.

Bailey then weaves into the vibe of a sanguine satisfaction at the pre chorus before blossoming to a dance retrofit, and stepping on the breaks when the unpaid therapist is referenced, thereby encasing a pacifying embrace of I got you. The latter verse semi retires to the nonchalant care-free attitude, progressing into the bridge of unwinding sonic resolve. A break highlighting the emotional resolution is discernible, reflecting the outcome of the unnamed friend – the unpaid therapist.

The single is a perfect blend of undulating sonic charge and infectious beat that personify the mood change of the character thanks to the friend. The infectious chorus and rhythm intrinsically fused with Bailey Perrie’s vocals and energy, perhaps a reflection of her supplementary repertoire of acting, dancing and modelling.

“Unpaid Therapist is an experience that will transport you into a world of joy and optimism. It’s the perfect addition to your playlist, whether you’re driving to work, hitting the gym, partying, or hanging out with friends.”
