J Hus drops surprise EP Half Clip to close out the year!
Global rap heavyweight J Hus fires into the end of 2025 with Half Clip, a sharp, high-impact EP. Released today via EMPIRE, the project lands off the back of a huge year for Hus, following his sold-out show at London’s Royal Albert Hall and the viral Asake collaboration “Gold”.
The EP continues Hus’ tradition of reinvention, precision and cultural dominance, showcasing three tightly crafted tracks with heavyweight collaborators and elite production.
Leading the project is “Outside”, the opening track featuring Skepta, produced by J Hus’ long time collaborator JAE5. The track pairs two of the UK’s most influential forces setting the tone for the EP’s confident energy.
While track two, “Banana Clip”, is a solo statement, produced by Dimz, Fumes Beats, 4orty and YJAY. Closing out the EP is “Richer”, which sees J Hus linking with Nigerian star Seyi Vibez in a global crossover moment, produced by TSB and Shae Jacobs. The three tracks blend ambition, melody and reflection, capturing the international scope of Hus’ reach.
The release arrives ahead of Hus’ major headline performance at Music City Central Festival, in Lagos, Nigeria, on 20th December.
J Hus has shaped the sound of UK rap since his Mercury, BRIT and MOBO-nominated debut Common Sense (2017), a genre-spanning record that launched him from SBTV notoriety to GQ cover star and arena headliner – from hits like “Lean & Bop” to iconic collaborations with Stormzy, Dave and Skepta. With Half Clip, J Hus strips things back to pure impact, serving as both a statement and a celebration, closing the year with precision and power.
