Pseudo Echo are one of Australia’s most beloved and enduring bands.  They revolutionized the music landscape though the 80s with their avante-garde style and hits like Listening, A Beat For You, Don’t Go, Living In A Dream and Love An Adventure. Their impact on fashion and trends became part of the Australian culture of the day.

Pseudo Echo exploded onto the charts, after their history-making performance on Countdown in June 1983, becoming the first unsigned band to appear on the show. Soon after Pseudo Echo signed a major record deal with EMI, receiving fifteen Gold/Platinum album/singles, multiple awards including Australia’s Most Popular Band, Most Popular Male Performer (Brian Canham), twelve ARIA nominations including Best Producer (Brian Canham), and Grand Prize at the Tokyo World Popular Song Festival. The band have embarked on several world tours, appearing on television shows along the way including Top of the Pops, The Dick Clarke Show, The Joan Rivers Show, and MTV Live At The Ritz, to name a few.

“A masterclass of professionalism and performance … by the end  the crowd were screaming and yahooing like it was 1985”.
(Damien, The Live Wire)

“I’m pretty sure that’s George Michael with a Mohawk, and the guitarist from Iron Maiden”,
(Holden Helm, journalist)

“One of the most iconic and influential bands going around, that had a kit bag so full of big hit singles, so catchy and likeable, that even if you didn’t follow the band, you still knew who they were. Tonight was no different, great tunes, great sound, done well!”
(Rob Lyon Hi-Fi Way)

“The band members take to the stage with the confidence that comes from knowing that you’re world class, and proceed to blast the ecstatic audience with a solid set of brutal pop. Their music is still fresh and current, and has taken on a harder, darker and more masculine edge … they’re impossible not to dance to.”
(Kathryn Van Beek, journalist)
