Today, Australian singer-songwriter Siobhan Cotchin returns with new pop-rock anthem, ‘Give It Up’. A sonic expression of integrity and independence, the track builds on Siobhan’s enduring musical narrative steeped in stories of empowerment and resilience. It follows the release of her critically acclaimed 2023 sophomore EP Miss Reckless, opening the curtain on the next chapter of her ever-growing discography.

Says Siobhan of the track, ‘Give It Up’ reflects a moment of realisation that I no longer want to tolerate desperation or settle for less than I deserve. The lyrics convey a strong message about asserting boundaries and seeking authenticity in relationships. I hope this song resonates with listeners and inspires them to prioritise their own happiness and self-worth.”

Channelling 90s grunge-rock and infused with country-inspired vocal breaks, the track is as energetic as it is introspective, with driving drums, bursts of hard rock guitar and melodic peaks and troughs that reflect the song’s poignant lyrical sentiment. Fearlessly expressing herself through raw and authentic lyrics, ‘Give It Up’ explores the intricacies of human relationships in Siobhan’s signature nostalgia-infused style.

The latter half of 2022 witnessed Siobhan’s meteoric rise, fueled by breakout singles ‘Fill My Cup’ and ‘How Does It Feel’ which garnered attention from Apple Music (‘New Music Daily,’ ‘Southern Craft,’ ‘Country Risers’), Amazon Music (‘Brand New Music,’ ‘Best of The Month’), and notable tastemakers, including triple j Unearthed and Double J. Rounding off her year of ascent, Siobhan received five Western Australian Music (WAM) award nominations and three consecutive wins.

In 2023, Siobhan released her sophomore EP Miss Reckless, a body of work that is as exploratory as it is cohesive.
