THE WET WHISTLES ARE SHOUTING ‘KICKONS’ AND WE’RE ALL INVITED!

Brisbane’s four-headed country groove merchants The Wet Whistles have announced the release of their debut EP, ‘KICKONS’.  (Listen here)

The five-track offering features the band’s first three singles plus two brand new songs including one of their signature live tracks, a cover of the 1995 Country Classic ‘Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident)’ and the new single ‘Married’, an old school Country singalong detailing band member Caillin Malley’s heartache in seeing the love of his life walk down the aisle with another bloke.

The EP’s release coincides with the first of The Wet Whistles two Gympie Muster Crow Bar appearances scheduled for August 21st and 28th and has been released independently through Ditto.

“We are thrilled to be able to get ’KICKONS’ out into the world” explains the one in the cowboy hat Nick. “It lays down a marker for what The Wet Whistles is all about; Old School Country shapes freshened up with a colourful pop energy and of course there is always our band’s big, four-part harmonies. It’ll be relatable to anyone who has known a life of Love, Loss, Last Orders & Liver Damage’.
